.06.17 – MAN goes in for MOT and passes; happy customer collects the vehicle at lunchtime. Mercedes in the workshop is having a new clutch fitted. After lunch, a vehicle comes in with a fluid leak. Repaired and collected within a few hours. Busy afternoon with a breakdown in Kelvedon (brakes locked on) followed by a trailer in Aylesford with component bulkhead not moving. We also have two pre-booked routine PMIs in Laindon. The Daf with the damaged bumper/lights from the weekend comes into the workshop in the evening.

.06.17 – Early start at 01:30 in Felixstowe with a trailer with o/s side guard needing attention. This is followed by a vehicle in Ingatestone which has had fuel stolen overnight. Quick re-fill and he’s one his way. Straight onto a trailer with faulty indicators in Rainham. Repaired and then onto a horsebox needing new batteries in Benfleet. Workshop busy – new bumper bar being fitted and welded to the Daf and we’re also asked to look at a hydraulic tank filler breather pipe on the vehicle. Clutch is in the MAN but it now has reduced power and an engine management light on. Customer asks us to investigate this. The Iveco with the EDC light also needs two new sun visors. These are ordered. Breakdown in the evening to a trailer with brakes locked on in Sheerness.

.06.17 – Work continues at the workshop. A school coach comes in mid-morning with steering box lock wire and water pipe mount bracket faulty. Needs a quick turnaround so that it can be out in time for the afternoon school run.

.06.17 – Breakdown on M11 in Chigwell to a vehicle with faulty batteries. When we get there, it looks like might be an alternator fault. Customer asks us to recover the vehicle back to their base in Northampton. The Mercedes in the workshop is complete having had new sensors fitted. Customer now requests an MOT to be carried out on the vehicle.

.06.17 – Recovery ate 08:00 from Basildon to Barking. Would’ve been a fairly quick job had it not been for the traffic on the A13!
