In December 1994, our Director, Glenn Emery established GMC Commercial Repairs Ltd. Glenn’s vast background work experience incorporates Thorndon Horsebox, West Horndon and TNT (now Fedex), Hornsey as Depot Engineer. He took his wealth of experience and a leap of faith and began working for himself. From humble beginnings in Highwood, Chelmsford, GMC outgrew the premises and in 1999, moved to Shotgate, Wickford, where we still trade from today. A family run business, Glenn and Michelle have worked hard to build an independent professional, successful company.
Over the years, in addition to commercial vehicle repairs/ servicing we have added HGV recovery to the ‘one stop’ service we offer.

Commercial Vehicle Diagnostics
With our mobile equipment we are able to carry out full diagnostic tests on site as well as in the workshop. We are able to offer our clients the very best in tailoring their needs for fleet maintenance.
Our fully computerised booking system will inform us when your vehicle is due its inspection as well as pre booking MOTs. We are a company that regards health and safety as very high on our list, this makes us fully compliant on these matters.
Our 2014 Rapid Response Vehicle is fitted with a spec lift with a 3.5 ton vehicle lift capacity, full diagnostics for EBS and ABS on vehicles and trailers. This latest addition to our fleet enables us to assist our customers even further at the roadside.
We can work on all makes of commercial vehicles, including full electronic diagnosis reading ECU faults as well as ABS and EBS fault finding on vehicles as well as trailers and semi-trailers.
